EARLY ACCESS BUILD 13 IS AVAILABLE

ACS3 Early Access Build 13 is available now. As usual, a lot of work went into the build.

The main focus for Build 13 was to reach closer parity between ACS2 and ACS3 features. Quite a few of missing ACS2 features are ported to ACS3 now. There are also a lot of bug fixes and improvements to existing ACS3 functionality.

  • Quadruped leg modules now have configurable twist joints, much like biped leg and arm.

  • Handling channels set that are used for slider based rig controls is vastly improved. All channel sets are now automatically created when you drop the rig or modules into the scene. Channel sets are also updated when you rename rig or a module to which channel set belongs.

  • Standardize command was not up to date and didn’t really work. It’s fixed and working again now.

  • Symmetric module property for modules was not working correctly. Now it’s possible to make module symmetric to another or break symmetry between modules manually using the Symmetric Module property in module properties panel.

  • Setting module properties and commands supports symmetry now. When you change a number of twist joints in right arm for example the same number of twist joints will be set for left arm automatically - provided the two modules are symmetrical (left arm was created by mirroring right arm or vice versa).

  • Mirror Action command was ported from ACS2.

  • Snapshot command was ported from ACS2.

  • Keyframing tools are complete now by adding following tools: Filter Statick Keys, Filter Static Keys and Envelopes, Keyframe Info.

  • Drag and Drop functionality for poses and actions is largerly ported over from ACS2 now. You can drop a pose or an action onto rig items directly to indicate to which rig you want to drop a pose or an action. Also one-sided poses such as hand poses can now be dropped either on right or left side much like it was the case in ACS2.

  • Pose Mirror Push and Pose Mirror Pull were ported from ACS2.

  • Most of the commands for selecting rig controllers (A panel for selecting controllers by modules, Select All Controllers, Select Poseable Controllers, Select Controllers Keyframed at Current Time, Expand Controller Selection by Module) were ported over from ACS2.

  • A number of fixes to code and rig assets.

6 new manual videos cover functionality added in this release.
